MSNBC's Swastika map... doesn't look like a wise decision
I know it's part of their D-Day at 60... but

that just don't look right. Kind of reminds me of the maps they had of Iraq with the U.S. commentators walking on them.

6. Anyone remember the "spider hole" structure they used?
The "reporter" on the right was crawling all around and in the plywood representation of where Saddam was "found". The Daily Show had a segment on it ( I hadn't seen it on MSNBC) and Jon Stewart really didn't comment on it (not that he needed to) he just kept showing the clip and laughing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for distilling my thoughts re: MSNBC so succinctly.

7. That map would be illegal in Germany.
Since they banned the symbol.

Just curious, do females have to attend an extra semester in journalism schools dedicated to fashion, diet and make-up? And then is there a contest like "Miss America" where they audition in bathing suits before the execs to get the job?

Obviously the men don't. Other than Anderson Cooper (who is handsome only in the weird Harrison Ford way), male newsreaders can be balding, fat, wear glasses, have grey hair and wrinkles and be flat out buck-toothed lispy UGLY AS SHIT.

8. Maybe, maybe not
Generally it is ok to use it in a historic context, in documentaries for example. In movies with a historic setting it is OK as well, as long as it is not glorified (while it is illegal in all Video Games - go figure).

Well, I doubt very much that a German Network would risk it.

10. Thanks for filling me in from Berlin.
I think the American media is going googly-eyes rah-rah over this D-Day thing in order to distract people from the Iraq war which is such a disaster. And of course Herr Stupidhead is trying to puff himself up into an FDR figure who is fighting a modern day Nazi menace. Pfft.

It's extremely disrespecful of the soldiers fighting and dying today IMO.

9. It do look a little like the ReichMinistry
But I will put in a defense of Chris Jansing (the brunette on the right).

She was a local news fixture around here for many years. Despite here cute and perky look, she's actually a seasoned reporter and a good soul. She was very popular, and she's got more seasoning than she looks.

12. It's fitting; alex witt has always had a kind of
ILSA; SHE-WOLF OF THE SS bondage kink thing going on. (Not in this picture, but for a soccer mom news anchor she wears some outfits with an unusual amount of leather and straps, buckles, etc.)
