Was watching CBS coverage (which was very balanced as opposed to the ABC lovefest) when they cut back to their golf coverage...

This is more of an indication of the Heathers and how they do their jobs....but to not spend some time on a Two-term President who had such an impact on this country to get back to your golf coverage is just bad!!

Before the flames begin....consider the fact that the station that was being evenhanded went off the air and the lovefest continues on the other stations...

but he's been out of office for sixteen years. Not to mention he probably already had Alzheimer's in his second term. THAT'S the real cover up of his administration.

His passing is hardly something that affects the country. Returning to golf coverage is much more sensible than treating Reagan's death like something that needs wall to wall coverage. I haven't turned on my TV yet. Do you suppose the Belmont Stakes will get cancelled?

Also, CBS was doing a good job of reminding everyone of the "bad things" from Reagan's Presidency...something that's going to get lost in all the hype over the next three days....

As far as his being Pres. 16 years ago....you may not like it, but many Americans thought of him as a successful Pres., and a significant portion of the population remembers him....of the ex-Pres. alive, he was probably the largest in American minds...

Not to also consider the impact on the right movement and how much they worship him.....

I remember when Nixon died....the "event" surrounding Reagan is going to greatly eclipse that....I want the media to remind us of everything....for me, burrying you head in the sand is never an option, but one that Democrats have seemed to have written on the DNA...
