I now proclaim the official DU Mt. Rushmore/Reagan countdown. How long til some Repuke (prob. Grover Norquist) publicly proclaims that Reagan needs to be put on Mt. Rushmore. ASAP, of course.

There,s no room for another face, the rock is unstable and I doubt that the public will stand for having a historic National Monument altered to satisfy the Right-Wingers.

They'll come up with something else I'm sure.

and the cracks keep getting wider.

The work to carve the faces insured the mountain would crumble. About another century is all it will take, unless they try to put Raygunzzzaaaaaap's ugly mug up there. That would bring the whole thing down.

Privately funded, and they will have much more leeway to do what they want with it.

If they really want to push a Reagan Mt. Rushmore thing then Democrats must insist on putting FDR up there too.
