I believe it's quite alright to talk about real and perceived differences between candidates and to have a lively debate. But I'm getting very tired of seeing everyone attacking personally attacking supporters of other candidates and reading all the threads about whose supporters did what to another candidate and/or his/her supporters. If a candidate verbally attacks other candidates, the votes in the primary will determine whether the that strategy is a success. That kind of thing has been going on for centuries. I don't like it, but it's reality.

I think a lot of this is either right-wingers posing as Dems OR a number of immature people putting their own agenda ahead of the biggest issue - if we don't ALL get Bush out of office, we're in for another 4 years which will be just as bad or WORSE than it is now.

You can all debate all you want, but when it comes time to vote, we'd all better damned well fall in line and vote Bush out. Much as I'd hate to have to vote for someone like Lieberman, I will hold my nose and do it if it's between him and Bush.

Enough of the stupid devisiveness.

1. Don't worry about Lieberman! He doesn't have a chance of
getting the nomination!

However, I have posted on various threads exactly what you have just started as a thread and I thank you for doing so.

My concern is alienation from all quarters and such hard feelings when the nominee is chosen that some people will feel hesitant to get behind that person.

We need to be sure not to alienate fellow democrats so that when some of our choices obviously don't get the nomination, we will all still feel comfortable working for whomever that democratic nominee ends up being!

Keep your eyes on the prize, to coin a phrase ...

:kick:

5. Yeah, some are pretty ridiculously funny....
You're almost asking for it when you do that.

It does seem like things are getting a little out of control on the other stuff. I really don't buy stuff like supporters going over and trashing 's website and other such situations. That sounds more like freeper-type work if you ask me.

3. I'm confident we'll all be on the same team at the end.
We may be combative, but, we're not stupid. ;))))))

4. I'm
sympathetic to anyone who doesn't care for the primary process. We all want to see this incompetent idiot removed from power, and we're all afraid that jockeying behind one candidate runs the risk of damaging another that may end up being the nominee.

It's unpleasant, but it's part of the deal.
