2. Hey..
Are you trying to get the thread locked because you disagree with my choice of candidate?

That's low.

10. CheezWhiz not on post-cancer menu?
How can that be?

Even Philadephians wouldn't push CheezWhiz on a man who just recovered from cancer.
;)))

14. I'd forgotten about that....
Edited on Wed Aug-13-03 10:46 PM by tjdee
But my brain still reads Swiss + Philly = does not compute. Taste isn't strong enough. I do go for Cheddar or American, meself.

Wouldn't want to hurt the guy and force Cheese Whiz though...though it looks like they did. No wonder he was nibbling.

11. Kerry merely *ordered* swiss.
The restaurant dude made him eat it with the wiz anyway. Still, if Kerry is going to ask for swiss, and then take dainty little nibbles on it, why do it? This only feeds the "out of touch elitist" label Kerry's opponents stick to him.

Fortunately everyone is so obsessed with Enron Arnold that this won't be in the news. However, Kerry, the likely nominee, should be less sloppy when it comes to these things. I mean, even Gore knew to ask for Wiz.

15. I am a Dean supporter and so disagree with you
Just because he orders swiss cheese and eats "daintilly" does not make him some "elitist". I am from the frickin middle class far from elitism and would order the same way. With Tofu!

This pathetic news story trying to attack Sen. Kerry on what and how he eats is one of the sorriest I have ever read. Our Amurikan Media is beyond being able to look at a candidate for the policies and records they represent. Good God, Why wonder Arnie the Groper has a chance in California. He is a celebrity!

Who gives a shit how he ordered his cheese steak sandwich? There are a freaking million ways to have a Philly Cheese steak sammich.

7. Born in Philly, and I forgive Kerry...
So THAT's what they were talking about on the radio.

But shit, Kerry, do yer homework! Philly don't put up with stuff like that.

8. This is the dumbest fucking newsstory I've heard this month.
Three of our soldiers killed in Iraq in the last twenty four hours, and Crossfire even did a segment on this dumbass who gives a fuck story...

...and my god, any town that claims fucking Cheez Whiz as a symbol of its culinary style should be invaded and re-educated by a government army of chefs.

That, too, is an acceptable answer.

Cheeze Whiz is too salty.

13. In the 1976 campaign
Gerald Ford held a rally in Texas and took a bite out of the husk of his tamale which was good for some similar stories.

16. the scandal isn't the CHEESE...
it's that he went to Pat's. He shoulda gone to GINO's. Sheesh.

Whatever Kerry did, someone with an ax to grind would try and make him look bad.

how about adding to the story "..but at least he didn't LIE about the reasons for taking the US to war"

19. From what I hear, Gino's serves Freedom Fries.
If that's the case, I'm very glad he didn't go there. We don't want any democrats supporting that kind of bs.

17. If this is Kerry's biggest scandal he's got it good!
Who the heck cares how he ordered his cheesesteak!?

I'd personally never would want cheese whiz on a cheesteak and I'm far from being a suburban elite.

The sad this too is that I did see this in the news plenty of times today... I guess any press is good press.

18. I love swiss on philly cheesesteak... so there!
I cannot even begin to imagine having disgusting cheesewhiz on any sandwich... that is just gross.

If you haven't had swiss on a philly, try it... and then we can name it a Kerry Cheesesteak Sandwich.
