There is going to be a lot of sentiment over the next few days because of Reagan's passing. Bush is going to milk it for everything he can get. I think that to gain the initiative and to get the country's focus off Reagan Kerry should announce his VP in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully it will be a popular choice.

2. he will do it at the convention or about a week before the convention

The Reagan stuff will all be overwith and that would steal the headlines away from all the chatter about the "handover" of Iraq.
