friend of mine in Korea. We meet once a week. He's in the army and I used to be in the army. I got him to agree to go to "Liberal" web sites. This took awhile. The other day he told me how confident he was that shrub was gonna get re-elected. I said, "How do you figure?" He said, "After reading some of the sites, it's obvious you guys aren't really behind Kerry. Like the rest of us (Americans), you don't trust him. In the end most of you (Liberal-Democrats) will abandon him and vote for someone else or stay home." I pointed out that the criticism of Kerry did NOT mean that we were not going to vote for him. I'm more to the center than Kerry is on many issues. I have friends who are more to the left of Kerry. But in the end we've all said we're gonna vote for him in November despite our misgivings. I stressed, "We will always point out the short comings of our guy -- we don't hide them like you (republicans) do, because that would be dishonest. But, when the day is done it's a choice between positive change or shrub. It's a no-brainer." He told me he disagreed and said he'll be laughing on election day. They just never get it. I guess we're too subtle and deep for them.
