Just saw "At the Movies"...two thumbs up for F9/11
Edited on Sun Jun-06-04 10:45 AM by Atman
"Everyone in the country should see this film, especially if you've not made up your mind about George Bush." "His best film yet" "More focused that his previous efforts."

Some good clips of the film. Probably on a syndicated time schedule, so I don't know when it is broadcast in your area. GREAT review segment. Both of Ebert and Roper both heap high praise on Micheal Moore's film, and says many more awards should come!

2. It's gotta hurt!
Didn't Poppy come out last week and call Moore bad names? The truth hurts don't it Pops? And try as you might, this is still NOT A DICTATORSHIP AND FREE SPEECH IS STILL ALLOWED.

Can't wait to see the flick.

4. Roger Ebert is a Dem
He hates Bush and what the republicans have done to the country. I'm not surprised he liked it!

5. Yeah, but it was Roper heaping on the praise
He really did think it was a very good film, both politcally and as a FILM...good production and story-telling and all that. They said it was not only politically charged, but just a good film, tighter and more mature an effort than his previous work. Not flawless -- he said Moore got "mean" in some places, but Roper really was the one that cheerlead this one. Maybe because the producers knew Ebert's "thumb up" might be dismissed because of his democrat-ness. Who knows. But it'll make the ads a hell of a lot more credible in the papers when there's a big "TWO THUMBS WAY WAY UP" (they're exact quote) for this movie.

6. Roeper's review
should confuse the hell out of the freepers. If I remember correctly he loved "The Passion." GO figure.

7. Is it on tonight?
In L.A. I normally watch it at 6:30 on ABC. I'll even change plans to see this.
