Just War - DustMolecule's Daughter Got An A!!!

Just want to thank everyone who responded 3 Sunday's ago when my daughter was asking for help with writing a HS paper & giving a presentation about "A Just War".

Wanted to let follow up and let you all know that she got a '27' out of '25' for her report - 2 extra credit points for an artful cover and extra pages written. On the Oral presentation she got a '23' out of '25' -lost two points for some lack of eye contact (but she tells me it was difficult to maintain proper eye contact b/c she kept referring to the points on her poster during her presentation).

The teacher liked her poster so well, that he asked if he could keep it for next year. He also finished off the rest of the classtime discussing the subject with the students.

It was interesting because my daughter said that after discussing the elements of what constitutes a 'Just War' her classmates said that, "They think the war in Iraq is 'Just', but if they HAD TO USE 'Just War Elements', Iraq is not a 'Just War'. (Remember I mentioned we're in a heavy Republican area).

and I did take her out for dinner to celebrate - French Silk Pie for dessert)!

(Now it's just all those new summer clothes that she wants that's got me worried......:scared:....*ouch* my budget)

I guess you mean, 'what did she end up doing?' Well, I'll have her respond to that tomorrow. It's late now and we were out most of today.

I just wanted to post the 'results' on a Sunday early afternoon (cause that's when I/we had originally asked for thoughts/direction). I must admit that the quantity and quality of the responses to that original thread was waaaaaaay beyond anything that I had hoped for or expected. That's why I thought it might be nice to let all of you who responded know 'how it all went'.
