League of Women Voters Members -- Your Help is Needed ! (BBV)

The LWV officially opposes a Paper Ballot Printout (VVPBs) for eVoting! This is despite the fact that VVPBs are the only effective means of guarding against electronic voting fraud and abuse.

The LWV decision was made a few months ago by a small group of people at the top. Their reasoning is flawed. Their position is damaging to the entire effort to install eVoting safeguards by November.

At it's national convention next week in DC, it is important this matter be brought to the floor for discussion and reversal by the membership.

If you are an LWV member, please contact your leadership in support of this effort. If you are attending, please speak out and help in this effort.

1. This is REALLY IMPORTANT!!

The upper echelons of the LWV has been co-opted by the right wing extremists.

This needs to be kicked all the way to the top!

2. Many League Members Unhappy About This

The decision on the position on paper ballots was most UNLIKE the LWV. They work things from the bottom up.

I am hoping that the grass roots of the League will boot out the leadership that DICTATED to them, rather than letting the membership decide.
