5. The President may not "technically"
be able to fire the VP or force him to resign, but I wouldn't put ANYTHING past Shrub and the BFEE. If they wanted to, I'm sure they'd find a way to get rid of the VP or do anything else they want to do, trivial stuff like legalities and the Constitution have never stopped them before.

The Vice President is considered elected (hence, the president can't fire him like he can fire his cabinet members)

Agnew resigned, he was not fired.

he was elected by the electors of the electoral college.
