The Bus is Back in Action

It's been to the shop, it's been cleaned and painted, it's got three wonderful volunteer drivers, and now Wellstone's famous Green Bus is ready to hit the road! We're going 1,200 Miles for Mental Health Fairness, and we still need folks to sponsor a mile of the trip!

We need your help

"After spending more than a year in semi-retirement, the famed Wellstone Green Bus is headed back to Washington, going 1,200 miles for mental health fairness!

As part of our national grassroots campaign to pass The Paul Wellstone Mental Health Equitable Treatment Act, we are taking the bus back to Washington for a rally on June 10th. We will leave from the Twin Cites on June 6th and arrive in Washington D.C. on the 10th, with stops in Madison, Chicago, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh along the way!

The Wellstone Act is common sense legislation which has 69 co-sponsors in the Senate. The bill would end discrimination by the insurance industry against people suffering from mental illness. Despite the bipartisan support, the bill is being held up in the Senate, and we need to let Washington know that it's time to act!"
