You have to read this to believe it. Feith, Poindexter, Ledeen,
Woolsey, Wolfowitz, Perle, Bolton, all veterans of Iran-Contra
pulled the same thing with Iraq and are now zeroing in on Syrria-
secret wars, negotiations, funding outside normal channels --and
infiltrated from the State Dept to the White House to the Pentagon.

Iran-Contra, amplified
By Jim Lobe

>>WASHINGTON - A specter of the Iran-Contra affair is haunting Washington. Even some of the people and countries are the same. And the methods - particularly the pursuit by a network of well-placed individuals of a covert, parallel foreign policy that is at odds with official policy - are definitely the same.

And thanks to Jay Rockefeller at least Poindexter is gone..I assume
Rockefeller was onto the IranContra/Iraq personnel connection and that's why they've stopped all secret operations run by the Pentagon without Presidential oversite...that's a setup to fire or impeach someone !!

Getting the DARPA job in January 2002 had been something of a comeback for Poindexter. He was national security adviser to President Ronald Reagan during the Iran-contra scandal, in which sales of arms to Iran were used to finance rebels fighting in Nicaragua at a time such assistance was banned by Congress.
Poindexter was convicted in 1990 on five felony counts, including lying to Congress, destroying documents and obstructing congressional inquiries into the affair. Although the conviction was overturned in 1991 -- on grounds that Poindexter had been granted immunity from prosecution as a result of his testimony before Congress -- it still troubled many in Congress.
