NYSE and NASDAQ closing on Friday to honor Reagan

"President Reagan was a great champion of free people and free markets," said NYSE Chief Executive John Thain in a statement. "He believed strongly in the ability of capitalism to foster opportunity and prosperity. It is appropriate that the nation's markets on Friday will honor President Reagan's contributions to freedom and democracy."

1. That makes sense.
Let's honor the staunch capitalist by shutting the markets down and forcing traders to pay their respects.

2. It pisses on the non salaried employees
like cab drivers, bagel cart guys etc....
It's classic "trickle down" Reagonomics, only they end up getting "trickled on" just like Kerry said.
