how long it had been since the last state funeral when Clinton passes away.

Part of the media orgasm we're seeing now is because it's been 31 years since the last one. That rareness makes this all newsworthy.

If Gerald Ford (91) dies in a month (not that I'm wishing it by any means), the media barrage won't be as great (in part because the novelty of the state funeral will have worn off, and in part, face it, Ford was no Reagan).
