I spoke to someone who had seen Fahrenheit 911 at Cannes

I was at a party Saturday night chatting with a producer friend who saw the very first screening. He says it's really great stuff, and like several reviews I've read, he singled out the GI's grieving mom and the elementary school stopwatch scenes.

And get this, they had some guy playing Hawaiian music at the party, who it turns out, served on the boat with John Kerry! I shit you not. He didn't say a lot, but he did say "John was a really good guy" and indicated that Kerry was brave and worked well with folks who did not have the same ethnic, social, or economic, background as himself. Unlike what the repukes would have you believe, this guy made it sound like Kerry meant business while he was over there. It was interesting to get the impressions of someone who actually served with him.
