Gingrich: Iran, terrified of Reagan, releases hostages on day of inaug.

Tonight, on the facor, Gingrich sayed flat out that Iran was so terrified of dealing with reagan regarding the hostages they just decided it was in their best interest to hand them over on inauguration day no questions asked. No mention of the supposed deal worked out before hand or the ensuing arms for hostages where they(Iran) apparently go over their fear of reagan long enough to work a deal that was quite beneficial to them. Hell, if they had played their cards right the first time they could have scored a couple of nuclear warheads.

1. So Iran lived up to its deal with Poppy

they negotiated in London in the fall of 1980 so as not to give Carter an October surprise (the original year that term was used). I'm sure Gingrich never even mentioned that little tidbit.

Poppy undermined the United States government and kept those hostages there longer than they should have just to get Reagan elected. That's treason in my book. That's aiding and abetting the enemy in my book too.

2. That's been the right wing talking point for awhile...

They like to ignore Iran/Contra because they know it pisses liberals off....it's how people like Gingrich and O'Reilly thrive...they love lying and slandering...it's fun to them.

remember the Iran / Contra trial, convictions, felons, Fucking criminals that sabotaged, sacrificed, and betrayed those American special forces that died out in the desert attempting to rescue the hostages.

Gingrich do us all a favor and join him
