Army Announces Retiree Recall Opportunity
The Army's Casualty and Memorial Affairs Operations Center (CMAOC) is seeking qualified retired Soldiers for voluntary recall to active duty for a one-year tour of duty, with possible extension. CMAOC is the Army's policy proponent and operations center for world-wide casualty reporting and casualty notification to Soldiers' families. CMAOC oversees all aspects of providing casualty assistance and mortuary support to the families of our fallen Soldiers, to include assisting with the return of fallen Soldiers to their loved ones, ensuring coordination for funeral honors, and tracking the return of personal effects to the family.

2. I was a driver
for the officers that had to notify families of those killed in Viet Nam. Fuck that duty and asshole chimpy wants volunteers??? Nobody would ever volunteer for that. Shows how out of touch the repukes that never served really are.

3. "opportunity"?
...for a one-year tour of duty, with possible extension.

Our active-service personnel know lots about this 'opportunity'. Once they get their claws into you, there's no letting go.

5. Hahaha, nice catch!
I used to have a boss, and whenever he would give out shit-jobs, if the person would complain he would say "This isn't a shit-job, it's an opportunity to excel!"

:toast:

4. if they were serious about "stop loss" they would stop losing soldiers
to a fabricated need to execute dimson's war of choice with more "voluntary" but not honored time-of-service commitments ...

6. Retiree Recall Opportunity
I thought people retired so they could do what they finally got a chance to do with their life. What a name.

7. Damn, they must have had a whole committee write that one!
I was never in the military, but one thing I gleaned from acquaintances who were was "never volunteer." Golly, the opportunity to be the guy who goes up the walk, knocks on the door and says, "Mrs. Widow? I'm rank so-and-so. The United States regrets to inform you . . ."

Shit, what do you get promoted to from there? RPG catcher?
