'cold-blooded democrat' -is it a new meme?

I sent the most recent Krugman editorial, "The Great Taxer" to both a looneytarian and a winger. The libertarian replied all politicians are crooks. And the winger replied that I was a 'cold-blooded democrat' and would never recognize anything good a republican did, but that he himself thought Reagan was a great commander-in-chief. Completely ignored Krugman's comparison of Reagans political pragamatism vis' a' vis' chimpy*.

Anyway is he original with that 'cold-blooded democrat' phrase? Or is it a meme he is spreading? If it's a meme does anyone recognize what part of the gop echo chamber it originates from ?
