when bush comes for MY son.....he'll have a problem
i just know that he plans a draft for his death cult, and it's coming soon. kerry may even approve of it, lots of congressmen and senators will, others won't.

but i am here to tell you what. i ain't giving up my son who is just now becoming a 21 year old man to these maniacs. i don't know exactly what i'll do, but i will guarantee that i will do something, anything, to keep their filthy murdering torturing hands off my own son.

me, and MILLIONS of others like me, will PREVENT this from happening, even if we all go to prison together. recruiters have come TO MY FRONT DOOR trying to talk to him. i slammed the door in their faces. it frightened the fuck out of me too, because i can see it in my head, the same thing happening: army personnel coming to get my son, to send him off to bush's 'central front' in the war on terror, iraq.

men in uniforms, maybe army, maybe marines, maybe policemen, or military policemen, knocking on my fucking door, demanding my son.

....................................................

no.....fucking..........way

3. Interesting point of view
But this would be a different set of circumanstances it seems to me.

I mean how is what happened at Waco similar to this person's desire not to see their children get drafted?

41. Sorry, no link! Hope I have not disseminated bad info, but seem to
definitely recall Rummy having reputedly made reference to a thousand year war which startled me into recalling Churchill's "finest hour" reference and Hitler's thousand-year Reich. My apoligies to this board and to Rummy should I be wrong.

28. I have 2 daughters
20 and 23. The younger has asthma and is legally deaf in one ear...she should be safe; however, our older one is healthy as can be and a journalist. I have told her she'd BEST be boning up on Spanish and the C.O. position. She told me that one of the major questions to be asked of C.O. candidates is "Would you kill to defend yourself"? I told her that for the first time in her life, I am sanctioning LYING...they will NOT get my children either! No how, No way!

... a list of countries which don't have extradition treaties or status of forces agreements with the USA and cash money to buy an airplane ticket from Canada (don't use the passport to get there - little chip/barcode in new ones) to where ever. Good luck and BTW, I'm in the process of doing the same for my soon to be 18 year old granddaughter.

8. you're not alone...
My sister and her husband have two sons, 19 and 22. My nephews are fine young men, one of them in his last year of university, the other just finished his freshman year.

My family isn't all that political. They're all Democrats, but for the most part, they vote and that's it. No working for campaigns, no campaign donations, not up in arms when Repukes win etc.

NOT ANY MORE. My sister REFUSES to allow her sons to be sent to Iraq to fight and die for George W. Bush and his greedy imperialistic schemes. What a transformation! She's marched against this war (and loved her first demo), donated to Kerry, written LTTE and involved her friends in Kerry's campaign. She took time off work last week to attend a Kerry rally here. My totally apolitical sister.

If you ask her why, her answer is the exact same as yours...they'll take her sons over her dead body. If they attempt to, she'll break any law, go to prison, riot in the streets...but they won't get them.

If they attempt another draft, I don't think her reaction will be uncommon.

I'll be damned if I'm going to let them take my 19-year-old daughter anywhere. I've been in the military, and that is the VERY LAST place my daughter needs to be.

17. That's what they do in Russia
Russian troops often sweep up boys in arcades and other youth hangouts and ship them into military service. Though the Soviet Union is gone, many police state tactics still remain in Russia.

26. I have an 18 year old son
I know that a draft is coming and am scared. I was issued a draft card in high school and there was a lottery my senior year that did not really count.

We will do our best to keep our son out of the draft also by any and all legal means.

I also have a 17 year old daughter and fear for her also. If there is a draft, both boys and girls may be subject to such draft.

44. Of course
You can call me "Psst". I wondered the same thing about all the "patriots" until I asked the hubby of a friend of mine. They have a son a year older than my oldest about how he's going to feel when there's a draft. His reply was "Sure send all the high school drop outs, a draft would be fine!"

As if that's how it works. Assuming his son doesn't "drop out", he thinks it won't be his kid. There's just no reasoning with them. Their sense of logic is mind boggling.

43. The Clash said it best....
"When they kick at your front door
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

When the law break in
How you gonna go?
Shot down on the pavement
Or waiting on death row

You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
Oh, the guns of Brixton"

The Second Amendment isn't about duck hunting. So, Mopaul, how you gonna go? ;)
