Talked to a recruiter the other day
A recruiter contacted me the other day to discuss the military as a possibility after high school.

I told him I was opposed to this war. Now, he could have just been saying this to BS me, but he told me that he was opposed to it as well but regardless he had to follow the presidents orders (of course). He also told me - entirely voluntarily - that he hoped Kerry would win in November. He was VERY informed actually. He had obviously been paying a lot of attention to what has been going on politically.

Anyway - he was a nice person, and he gave me the impression he was not the only one who wanted Kerry.

2. Gasp!!!
Such intelligence from our young Americans!!
My, my, my - what would the Southern Baptist Congress think about your having a well-rounded, honest opinion after having been cranked out of an "anti-Christian" school! (If you don't know, the Southern Baptists are considering a move to request that all their parishoners pull their children out of public/private schools that are not faith-based and either put them in a church school or home school them - doesn't matter if they can't afford it or not).

Leastwise,
As the mother of a boy about to enter school this fall, I'm happy in referencing you to him as an example of how to achieve!

3. Hey kids!
How can anyone tell if your practically blind? Only you know for sure.

Get yourselves the thickest pair of glasses you can find. Wear 'em around recruiters, draft boards, etc.

4. As a joke...call him back and say that you are interested and you are
a BUSH supporter.

I will predict that all of a sudden he, too, becomes a Bush supporter.

6. Ha you may be right
I thought that may be the case.

However, I never told him I was a kerry supporter. I just told him I was opposed to the war. Now I'm sure he could assume that I was a kerry supporter, but he volunteered that he wanted kerry to win by him self.
