2. His secret--he looked so old and tired at 50 that
when he's 90+ not much difference. Go get 'em Ford. I actually feel sorry for him. He's most known for pardoning Nixon, never being elected, and his WIFE's detox centers.

3. I kinda like the guy
Honest, straight-forward. Not sleazy.

Formally ended the Vietnam War.
ERA
pro-choice
Fairly moderate/progressive agenda

I'm surprised the GOP still talks to him.

4. A true political fossil.
There are no more GOPers left like him.

Goes to show you total the right wing takeover of the GOP has been.

8. probably one of the few Pugs I respect
Pres. Ford was an "old time Republican" and a different breed than Raygun or the Bushinistas. I long since forgave him for pardoning Nixon, but overall he did a good job trying to patch up affairs before leaving office.

9. Imagine telling a 91 year old
that they look bad for their age?

PS -- what would have happened if Reagan beat Ford in 76, and then lost to Carter? Would that have been the last heard of Ronnie?
