Why the GOP is going down in a big way this year

Folks, they've overplayed their hand. They called us before the last raise. They are in total freak out mode and the proof is all right there in front of everybody.

On Friday, every last one of the GOP 2004 campaigns will collectively jump the shark.

The morans (sic) have invented "Gipper Fatigue". People are already sick of Reagan this morning. I live in Republican Suburbia. This morning on the train a man opened his newspaper and exclaimed loudly, "Well, it's time to see if Ronald Reagan is still dead." Everybody who heard the remark laughed out loud.

Could it be any more obvious? This entire week long Reagasm is a desperate attempt to shore up the GOP base, AND THE BASE IS AS SICK OF IT AS EVERYBODY ELSE!!!

Karl Rove is not and never has been a "political genius". Karl Rove got lucky and had enough connections from Poppy to keep the disgusting truth about Dumbass* secret for long enough to steal an election.

Even if James Carville were running Dumbass*'s campaign this year (a man who is a true political genius), Dumbass* would not stand a chance.

Take heart, folks. This week long Reagasm is money in the bank for the Democrats. I would not be surprised in the least if we took the White House in a landslide and both houses of Congress in an upset!

Troops in Iraq, America haters all, are disobeying orders and continuing to die, making Stupidhead look bad this week.

Ashcroft is taking his last shambling steps toward Nuremberg, awaiting the moment of his re-re-birth.

Rumsfeld admits publicly what we have been discussing for months: That he doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

And Stupidhead continues to slip in the polls, despite riding across the country on Reagan's coffin.

Yes, the Ronathon is pushed by media because they have many hours of pre-recorded Reagan death footage to use. They knew this day would come and they had it all canned and ready to go. They just have to use it up!

The other thing going on is that the GOP hoard is demanding what they think is proper, respectful coverage of their hero. The networks oblige.

The majority of the public is raising the BS flag and have been tuned out since Sunday. The over-the-top coverage does not play well with the public and they are past Reagan fatigue into Reagan illness. Enough already!

I agree Walt, this will work for the Dems because it is one more indication that the GOP is all smoke and mirrors.

Now let them try to push putting Reagan on money, and that will be the end of it.

P.S. - Jumping the shark goes back to the seventies as a phrase. When the long running comedy show, Happy Days had shown they had done every potential story line they could do, Fonzie jumped a shark on water skies. since then, when a long run of good goes bad, the defining moment is referred to as "jumping the shark".

not really. Sorry, I can't help you there. There are a few that I'd absolutely stay far away from, but that's just me. You might find it to your liking and you should try it out for a few weeks to see if it fits to your liking. :)

Due to fleeing fundies in my youth (Kip McKean was the associate pastor at the church I was baptised in), I don't belong to any church. It's a very personal thing to me. Hubby's a non-practising Catholic. He'll always "be Catholic" but doesn't go because he doesn't support some of views the Catholic church has taken (one being choice).
