Thank you, Ronald Reagan!

Yes, thanks to Reagan my family was reunited politically. My parents left the Republican Party when Reagan came in. My father, a WWII veteran, hated this man so much for being a chickenhawk and working in movies during the war. The threat to social security posed by the Republicans really woke my parents up. Previous to this my father and I argued about politics all the time. Afterwards, well, he put up Clinton signs on the front lawn.

So I'd like to thank Ronald Reagan for uniting my entire family against the Republicans. We've been solidly Democratic ever since.
