Slanted Source: Giuliani to replace Cheney?
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=38858

Obviously, the source is suspect. However, something like this would be advantageous to the Shrubbery's chances. No matter which way you cut it, I think this race will be TIGHT. Damn, election years are fun!

11. Nah, when a repuke does it
it is simply re-examining one's position.

2. giuliani is prochoice, for gay rights, and for gun control
the right wing would not accept it. and we already know bush plans on using the gay marriage issue to help get the anti gay votes.

4. Yeah, the right wing of the R party would be pissed,
but who else are they going to vote for? Or would it lessen their likelihood to vote at all?

6. This is the one idea that makes sense

It would be possible to replace Cheney, Cheney could always
cite ill health (what is it now, 5 heart attacks that we know of?).
Cheney has zero chance of following Bush in 2008 should chimpy win
re-selection. So now would be the perfect time to replace him.

Except.

Bush depends on Cheney to run things, I don't think he would trust
very many others.

All of the repugs who want to run in 2008 would resent the "closed
race" aspect of selecting a new VEEP (that, again, presumes that
chimpy is re-selected).

The Neocons would lose "big time" (to quote Cheney), and since they
are the power behind the scene right now, I'm guessing they don't
want to lose any influence.

Cheney enjoys being the pResident.

Shaking things up (without virtual resignations from team members)
is just not *'s nature.

7. This would scare me, but I don't think it will happen
If this happened, the calculus of the entire race changes. But I don't think for a second the Religious Right will accept this.

9. a pro-abortion, pre-gay, tax and spender
hmm that would be good for the base. Me thinks the base is throwing this out there to agitate its base to make sure Bush doesn't drop Cheney

12. Old Cheatin Cheney ain't what he used to be
I saw a recent photo of the old guy here at the DU. His hair is snow-white. If possible, his hairline has receded even more. His skin color is a pale pink (like a valentine). He looks terrible.

I guess after a lifetime of stealing, even the toughest have to go.

15. Re Source (WorldNetDaily)
It's been my observation that some of these rightwing sources are used to float trial baloons and/or leak info the administration wants leaked (primarily to their base, I think).

16. Wait until the press starts interviewing his ex-wife again.
The ex-mayor showed his true Catholic family values when he announced he was moving out on his wife, Donna Hanover, and kids into the arms of his girlfriend, with whom he had been keeping company for years, DURING A PRESS CONFERENCE. His attorneys insisted that SHE move out of Gracie Mansion but she stayed right were she was, at home.
