Darigold finally settled with Teamsters

This has been a long and bitter strike. Darigold which is a cooperative of 690 Dairy farmers has settled with the teamsters Local 66.
1. An initial wage reduction of $1.00 per hour, with restoration of $.70 per hour by end of contract.
2. Pension increases of $.10 per hour each year.
3. Agreement surrounding outsourcing that gives the company needed flexibility.
4. Withdrawal of unfair labor practice charges by both parties.
5. A Comprehensive health and welfare benefits plan, with the company paying $770.68 per month and each employee paying $120.67 per month.

It's now time to focus on the future ~ we have a lot of hard work ahead, and restoring harmony in the workforce is a critical first step.

1. I thought people might find this interesting especially the health care

costs per month. We need Government subsidized health care. Universal health care single payer. I would never expect the waterpump in one of my delivery trucks to pay for it's own repair.
