Black Box: URGENT! Need activists for quick POWERFUL easy project
Need a couple people who are good researchers to look up two state statutes in each of the following states, and need citizens who live in each of the following states for a quick, POWERFUL project:

California
Colorado
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Maryland
Nebraska
Ohio
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
Washington

This one is big. We want to make it happen immediately. Please send your response to: Bev@ProTalion.com ASAP.

Things are looking up.

2. What statute info do you need?
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 12:02 PM by Melinda
Narrow it down to subject matter if not code, please?

On edit: Am I goofy or what? You want volunteers to email you as opposed to gathering/posting here?

9. We don't want to tip our hand until something happens
We're only talking about a day or two, and at that time can post everything.

Once you see the two items we're looking up, you'll know exactly what we're gonna do.

32. A Kick and 2 BBV Questions
1. Has anybody researched -- or asked R. Doug Lewis -- who's on his Board of Directors? He's got to have one, right? I don't think you can incorporate at all -- whether as a non-profit ( which would be a 501(c)(3) ) or a regular corp or an S-Corp -- without a BoD. In Georgia you have to have at least three -- a Pres., Secretary and Treasurer, IIRC.

2. Does anyone have a link for a nice collection of 2002 (and even incl 2000 if available) electronic voting glitches? I've got a few links, but not quite what I'm looking for. I think Bev had her own compilation, but I haven't found a link for that among my bookmark treasures.

34. On your links request....
We have been quietly building the BBV Research library, thanks to help from some very dedicated DUers.

I don't have the search function done, but a full list of the articles in the library can be found here:

BBV Research Library

The articles you are looking for are near the top. There's quite a collection of the glitches and problems experienced in Georgia in 2002, including 67 missing PCMCIA cards that showed up days after the election with 3,100 votes on them.

Someplace has an on-line reference to state statues for all states sorted by categories

I've used it in the past and it has been very helpful. Wish Illinois was one of the states you listed.

72. Things are looking up, let's get in on it.
Nebraska
Virginia
Indiana
Kentucky
and North Carolina

Let's do it. Email Bev, the link is in the first post. Your turn now and those of us in the other states will be cheering you on. Yay Kansas. The more the merrier.

82. About that Ginseng.......
I remember watching a documentary on Ginseng......a looonnngg time ago. My memory is real sketchy...

What I remember was......you can only harvest it in like just a couple of places or something..... and that would be CHINA...

And the people who sell it ...... (in the root form or in tinctures) have a monopoly on it.

Anyways......if it is exempted from any taxes or whatever, it's because of a POLITICAL FAVOR.....I do believe. And I think its's ONE family or company or person in the US that distributes it --

I shouldn't even be commenting on it based on my memory........
