I am starting to get very nervous.
I have been hearing jets flying over my office all morning.
I think I will get out my tin-foil hat. After my dream early this morning, it is really creeping me out.

I don't usually get so shaken by such little things, but there have been a bunch of them. And there goes another one, louder & closer than ever.

Someone please tell me everything will be okay.

2. Everything will be OK
The only thing to fear is the people who want you to be afraid, because that fear suits their purposes. Defeating the fear they have fed you is the ultimate, the final, the most important victory you can achieve.

Or, as Bruce Willis said in 'Tears of the Sun,' "Cowboy the fuck up. We need you."

Illegitimis non carborundum.

Don't let the bastards grind you down.

I was sitting at the top of the metal bleachers at
Candlestick Park (3 com park) right behind my seat
were the bolts attached to the concrete of the stadium .

I found myself sitting on the concrete , worrying about
the bleachers ..Wierd I would of never done that before .

7. Isn't it a drag?
I was in Minneapolis last week, first time in a city in a while. Looking up at the buildings, wondering. Worrying just a little, too.

On the one hand, it's what folks in the rest of the world have been hip to for years, that it's a dangerous place and some people are out to get you.

On the other, why is it so freakin' difficult to get along? Bartcop blames people's belief in the Cloud Being, but I think it ultimately boils down to greed. If everyone thought about the other person just a bit more, I think it'd be a nice planet to wander around in, and see stuff.

I'd like to see lots of places that I'm too freakin' scared to go to, the ME for example. My favorite foods, legendary hospitality. Maybe the next generation will get it right.

Sigh.

8. Here's what I posted at your dream thread
and I'll post it here in case you miss it.

Not to be too weirdy, but I'm known in my family and circle of friends for having dreams that are prophetic. A coupla days before 9-11, I had a vivid, three-dimensional dream of an American Airlines plane flying very low, right in front of me, and it crashed. I woke up screaming, sweating and crying and could not shake that dream. I hate it when we have dreams like this, because, what the heck can be done with it? I once dreamed about a mudslide in central America just hours before a killer mudslide occurred there. How would I have been able to use my dream to help anyone? I couldn't! I think it just means that maybe sometimes we're able to tap into the tension that is out there and some part of our brain makes connections, and sometimes those connections are all too accurate. I am so sorry that you're feeling disturbed, I hope that the feeling passes soon.

I also hope those planes stop flying over your office!!

14. Here's my reply to you from the other thread.
I have also had prophetic dreams, mainly right before someone close to me has died.
But when I start have very violent dreams it is usually right before something majorly bad happens. I also have know things would happen before they did. I am not into car racing, but I was watching TV one day and saw a commercial for an upcoming race where they showed a picture of Dale Earnhart (sp?). I said to my husband "he is going to die in that race." It kinda freaked my hubby out and he reminded me after Dale did indead die in that race that I had predicted it. It was really weird too, it wasn't like I saw it happen, just like I knew it.
I also had a feeling about Princess Di's death before it happened.

9. this culture of fear is starting to piss me off
I'm not normally volitile but this is upseetting me alot.

I read the post and feel the apprehension and am reminded how, while standing outside watching the meteor shower, I heard a jet engine at full power somewhere in the night sky and, just for an instant, got a cold chill down my spine.

These bastards have played on our fears long enough....let's resolve to get them oout and put some sanity back into our government/

10. I have recurring dreams about planes crashing
I've posted this before. And I didn't even see the planes hit the WTC. I can't imagine what would have happened to my psyche if I had. What's weirder is that the Sunday before 9/11 I was looking out the window and saw a plane approaching Manhattan from the south, and thought, I wonder what would happen if that plane hit the WTC.

But that's my mind. I'm thinking the only way to get a handle on this is to be able to separate yourself from your thoughts and just kind of watch them pass by like leaves floating in a stream, just watch them pass and not get entangled in what they mean or where they're trying to lead you.

I think the only way to conquer fear is to be present in the moment. If I'm present in the moment I'm sitting at my PC typing this post, the weather is beautiful, my boss is out, and nothing is presently threatening my safety or well being. If I go outside of this moment and start THINKING, then those who know how to manipulate frightened minds are in control.

I was in my car for lunch today and I noticed big military (I won't say what kind) planes taking off in few minute intervals, from the direction of a military base.... Always have lunch there ,never saw that before.

15. manipulating the public through fear
Speaking of, last night when we were watching the news and they reported that the FBI denied that the terrorists were after bush (this is on the phony baloney SAM think). I said to my husband, "Yeah, if the terrorists really were after bush they would never want the public to know because then they wouldn't be able to manipulate through fear."

16. I, too, saw something strange today.
I live in Central Maine and we occaissionally get an AF Tanker Flying overhead (there's a Tanker WIng in Bangor). But this AM I saw a low flying (3000 ft) 727 (twin rear engines by the tail?) with fighters on each wing in tight escort escort, flying real slow. There may have been a 3rd fighter directly over the plane. As it passed by, I saw 2 distinct smoke streams come from the 727...each lasting about 3 seconds.

Have no idea what was going on, but it sure wasn't normal...

18. On Monday evening,
my husband and I went for a walk through our downtown. We were turning around to go home when a olive green helicopter came into the space above where we were walking. It kept flying around us in a wide arc, really it was buzzing us for several minutes. There were no marks on it to indicate that is was the police or a traffic copter. Besides, there was no traffic and it was after rush hour. I told my husband it was probably the military waiting for us to flip them off so we can be arrested for "seditious acts." After we ignored it, it flew off, presumably to bother someone else. It was very out of the blue and weird.

20. with the blackout today
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 10:54 PM by seventhson
I have been thinking about this thread for hours.

How many died in NYC or elsewhere due to the blackout?

This may have been a real serious disaster - it may be still.

And your dream and premonition and worry --- which I read before the blackout and which made me on the alert for "disaster" may have been on the money.

Did the jets have anything to do with this? Was something we don't know about happening? THEY are not telling us sh*t.

Bush looked worried as hell tonight and VERY hungover/buzzed and even a little disoriented.

Is there something ELSE going on?

He looked like he'd seen a ghost.

and maybe your clarity of vision (as disturbing as it is) might be able to help us all. It may have been spot on...

I kept thinking about your concerns...

and the premonitions of others here (I have had my own)

Rest and relax. I like homeopathic nerve tonics, kava-kava and melatonin to sleep. It makes me drowsy the next day buit t least I sleep and its not Pfizer making money off me.

Thanks for sharing. It MAY be a gift....

I dreamed it was dark. Also for some unknown reason I wore sunglasses all day long, even indoors.

Am I clairvoyant?

22. Why not just think about what the Iraqi citizens went through
and are going through.

How would you like to look up in the sky and watch "shock and awe" and planes and bombs and missiles flying overhead destroying your country and then having people from abroad invade and occupy your country?

Think you have a problem??????

Empathize with the poor shmucks we conquered. They are in a living hell on earth that WE created. Compared to them, what are we whining about?
