The word that right wingers fear the most is becoming part of the national discourse -
lose. The Los Angeles Times is starting to talk openly about the possibility that Bush will attend the inauguration as a spectator.

Nearly three-fifths believe the nation is on the wrong track, the highest level a Times poll has recorded during Bush's presidency.
"A striking 56% said America 'needs to move in a new direction' because Bush's policies have not improved the country. Just 39% say America is better off because of his agenda."
Time's running out for Team Bush. They have to go to Plan B, if they've got one. Otherwise, come January, they'll all be sending out resumes.
