In a May 21, 2000, New York Times' puff piece about the values Bush gained growing up in Midland, Texas, Nicholas D. Kristof quoted Bush's childhood friend Terry Throckmorton: ''We were terrible to animals,' recalled Mr. Throckmorton, laughing. A dip behind the Bush home turned into a small lake after a good rain, and thousands of frogs would come out. 'Everybody would get BB guns and shoot them,' Mr. Throckmorton said. 'Or we'd put firecrackers in the frogs and throw them and blow them up.'' On Sept. 12, 2000, Baltimore Sun reporter Miriam Miedzian wrote, 'So when he was a kid, George W. enjoyed putting firecrackers into frogs, throwing them in the air, and then watching them blow up. Should this be cause for alarm?'"

I just don't understand kids who do stuff like that. Not all of them turn into serial killers but it just baffles me that some take pleasure in that stuff..

10. Bush Received "Governor Of The Year" Award From Safari Club International

While he was Governor of Texas, Bush was given the award of Governor of the Year from the Safari Club International, an organization headquartered in Washington D.C. comprised of rich men who go around the world shooting rare and exotic endangered species, like tigers, elephants, rhinos, etc. The Safari Club particularly liked the fact that while Bush was Governor of Texas, that state became the "canned hunt" capital of the world, where old zoo and circus animals like lions and zebras are bought and put in pens, so that big game hunters can go shoot these largely tame creatures at point blank range. My uncle years ago was hired to cook at the annual banquet of the Safari Club, which they used to hold in Denver. He said it was disgusting to have to cook such animals as spider monkey, anaconda, lion, hippo, etc.

Not only did Bush accept the award, but he sent his father George H.W. Bush to the annual banquet to accept the award. The fact that Bush relaxed the hunting regulations in Texas during his tenure as Governor to satisfy groups like this is another sign of his sociopathy.
