A State Funeral For Ray Charles! You KNOW It's Right!
If any American has earned a national tribute, five days of crowds in the streets, a national Day of Mourning and his face on Mount Rushmore, it's Ray Charles.

Let's put his picture on the twenty-dollar bill while we're at it. Let's rename one public building in every county of every state in the US in honor of Ray Charles. Let's make his birthday a national holiday, one in which True Patriotic Americans break bread with their neighbors and listen to MUSIC.

Let us all now reflect on what makes a man great. How many people had their souls lifted up by Ray Charles? Hell, you can't COUNT 'em all! You can find huge numbers of people who hate Reagan, but you can't find ANYONE who doesn't LOVE Ray Charles.

Let America honor this Great Man in a manner befitting his contributions to HUMANITY.

1. Ray Charles has lifted more souls than anyone
And imagine the great music!!

A beloved figure, who surely would have made a benevolent and kind leader.

Hubby worked with him a long time ago in Hollywood, and said he was a FORCE. He could also run a recording console in any studio after only a minor orientation to where everything was. He liked to do things himself.

BABY WHAT I SAY!!! GOD BLESS YOU RAY!

3. Now we are talking about a GREAT AMERICAN
If anyone deserves a national day of mourning, it is Ray Charles. You know the repukes are angry that he died to take some luster from Reagan.

5. A light-hearted 'survey'
Sorry, I don't remember the source, but some newspaper did a non-scientific survey asking Europeans:"What is the greatest contribution to humanity made by Americans?"

Most people answered: Jazz.
B-)

when some of this Reganism die down. But maybe not since he didn't murder/rape anyone. Will the two meet on the way to heaven?

8. At least combine them.
When they move Reagan's body play "Hit The Road Jack"

13. Don Imus actually did something like that on his program.
He said something like, "And now we're going to pay tribute to Ray Charles... and Ronald Reagan." And he cued "Hit the Road, Jack."

I nearly injured myself laughing.

10. Ray Charles ended the Cold War
at least he played as big a role as Reagan did.

12. Shameless self-kick just because Ray Charles
could have shredded whatever military glee club that was who sang "America The Beautiful" at the Raygun burial!
