MTV Awards-Jack Black and Sean Astin wore Vote Kerry shirts and pins
Anybody else see this. Jack Black wore a Vote Kerry shirt with a big picture of Kerry. Sean Astin (Rudy) and many other movies who is always on Bill Maher's show backing Bush, wore Vote Kerry pins.

11. I saw him on Bill Maher and I could have sworn he was a Rethug...
He wore a Vote Kerry T? WOW

I think all of Hollywood needs to come out of the closet and wear Vote Kerry T'shirts for the Paparazzi!

That would be AWESOME.

5. I don't know that Astin is a bush backer....
I think he's more pragmatic and diplomatic on the issue. He's constantly in interviews and articles declaring himself a Democrat. I think he does a lot of political volunteer work with veterans and other groups where extreme partisanship is not needed.

7. No, he's definitely a registered, long time democrat....
Like I said, he's involved as a spokesperson for and celebrity representative for some kind of organization which causes him to need to be diplomatic, and maybe like a lot of people I know he's just trying to see the best in what's going on rather than being outspokenly negative (however justified that would be).

But every interview I've ever read with the guy, he goes out of his way to call himself a "life long democrat". He is probably a pragmatic, moderate, centrist democrat but he nonetheless should be given credit for always going out of his way to identify himself as such.

People on here have to realize that not being a bush hater doesn't mean being a bush lover or a republican.

14. The Bill Maher appearance...
by Sean Austin was wildly misinterpreted by too many here.

I watched it and saw him trying to explain Bush, not defend/excuse him. He was making the point that Bush really believes the shit he spouts - I think that is something really important that we all have to know about Bush. He's so delusinally he honestly believes he is doing good -- that should scare the CRAP out of us all.

Sean comes from a politically active/leftist family -- his pro-union speech at the SAG awards should have told everyone where his heart truly lies.

9. I love Jack Black and Tenacious D
I liked when he said Bush is a "dangerous nincompoop."
