My response to freeper letter to local editor:
Edited on Fri Jun-11-04 03:29 PM by rustydog
Some Bush apologist wrote to our local paper asserting the alleged torture reports out of iraq are insignificant when compared to Saddam's atrocities and we did not kill any Iraqis. She states the Iraqi people are really happy Saddam is gone and are grateful for American's presence there.

My response which was posted 6 day later:

I am compelled to reply to (name's) assertion that killing Iraqi Prisoners is insignificant.

These people are not detainees. they are prisoners. According to the International Red Cross, 60 to 90% of these prisoners are innocent civilians who are later determined to be no threat and released. Abu ghraib holds 45,000 prisoners.

Yes, people were killed! the military is investigating 33 suspicious deaths. one-third of the prisoners have been shot, beaten or strangled.

One of the most disgusting pieces of photographic evidence is if an interrogator raping a 15-year-old Iraqi boy and you assert that he was thinking: "Thank Allah I being saved by Americans" "Thank Allah they got rid of Saddam"as they raped him?

you should know that the Iraqi prisoner abuse extends to all of the prisons we are occupying in Iraq. (This line was deleted by editor: There are secret prisons there. What do you think they are doing in the secret prisons, singing happy birthday as fingernails are being pulled?)

If it was evil and wrong for Saddam to torture, rape and murder Iraqis, it most definately is wrong for Americans to do the same thing!

It is time to bring our sons and daughters home. Get them out of bush's quagmire and hold this Administration personally responsible fot the deaths of almost 1000 Americans and untold thousands of innocent Iraqis.

all of these needless deaths for one man's dream of American Empire. How sad.

Note: At 6:30 am the morning the paper came out, my wife received a phone call at home. caller claimed to be from the paper stating I should stop writing to the editor, as I have proved how idiotic i am and have been red-flagged! Stoopid freeper, doesn't know the existence of caller-ID!

7. The right does not want to think of the truth.
60 to 90% of 45 thousand people were innocent Iraqis!
1/3 of the "detainees" who died during interrogations were beaten, shot or strangled.

it is awful hard to justify this with a straight face.
