23. The Measure Of A Man...The Real Rush Has Emerged

They say you don't really know a person until they're under stress. Good times and money can cover up a lot of warts, and a large mansion with unlimited self-indulgence can keep someone content for a long, long time.

What turned the worm here is Rush's pending fall from grace and the rats leaving the ship. Consider how many bad moons are converging here. There's the drug fiasco...both legal and rehabbing, the falling apart of this regime that is affecting problems in Rush's perfect universe (like a disturbance in "The Force") and the expanding reaches of alternative medium such as the Internet and Internet Radio that can do Rush one better...along with the Hannitys and other Rush wannabes who are salivating at watching him fall off his mantle.

My wife thinks this divorce had been in the works for a while but it had to be released with the least impact on Rush's remaining career so both can milk this gravy train to its very last. Raygun's death was an ideal time and the Friday was even more perfect as Rush will now steal away for a "vacation" (of course to grieve privately for St. Raygun) and the latest Mrs. Limbaugh gets her cash-out.

Now, the fun part will be if this cash out is enough...or for how long. One can get awfully spoiled and think living on $10,000 a month is like poverty...and off to court she goes. Or, we find out more lurid details of Mr. Limbaugh's private life/lives as his desire for fame, "respect", influence and money superceded any concept of human dignity & emotion.
