Michael Moore: Blair is next in line for a movie
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=entertainmentNews&storyID=5404793

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Michael Moore's anti-Iraq war crusade is not stopping with President Bush as the filmmaker says he now wants to make a movie about British Prime Minister Tony Blair's role in the war.

Moore, director of "Fahrenheit 9/11," the controversial documentary which last month won top prize at the Cannes film festival, said on Friday that he now wants to take a close look at the British leader's role in backing the war in Iraq and sending troops into harm's way.

"I personally hold Blair more responsible for this war in Iraq than I do George W. Bush, and the reason is Blair knows better. Blair is not an idiot. What is he doing hanging around this guy?," Moore told Reuters in an interview.

He likened Blair to an older sibling of Bush's and said that, as a parent, when two children get in trouble, the parent usually questions the older one as to how he or she could let such a problem occur.

ROTFLMAO-- Go get em Mike!!!

2. That is what is sad. He should have known better. That is why
I mind political expediency. You sell your principles...you might have to pay a price.

6. as said below
for one, he's still a progressive politician, and i agree - for the most part - with his "third way" politics. reading up on he and gordon brown's formation of new labour was quite fascinating.

and i'd disagree strongly with him being a lackey. the biography i read, which wasn't afraid to be critical of him, portrayed him as a resolute politician and gave several accounts of his frustrations with bush at times.

i could go on further but i'm too tired at the moment. :)

4. Blair moves with the prevailing winds
When Clinton was president, he embraced diplomacy. When Bush became president, he became a homicidal maniac just like his master. If he's PM long enough to see President Kerry take office, I'm sure he'll change yet again.

5. it sounds like your implying
that the british primeminister is a lackey. I disagree. He is solidly progresive in many ways.

7. Baloney! Blair is a poodle--a lapdog--a toady.
It's not an implication, it's a fact. He may be "progressive" in many ways. So what, he's still a foot stool for Bush* and was the principle enabler of the illegal invasion of Iraq.
