1. Hmmmm
the grids usually have warning triggers - this doesn't make sense.

3. That's my thinking
One grid gets overloaded and the entire Northeastern United States and Ontario province suddenly go black with no warning AT ALL???

4. agree, one station cannot bring everything down

just heard someone on CNN say that there was a fire in a NYC power source that may have added to the problem.

2. Where's our President
Why hasn't he raced to the nearest camera and blamed the power outage on Democrats refusing to pass his "Energy Plan" or approving his court nominees or supporting his tax cuts? Maybe he needs to fly to Omaha and then to Louisiana to clear his head?

12. How does it work that Niagara Falls (CA) houses where the failure
(reportedly) began, but still has power?

6. Good luck tonight.
Save a little of that battery in case you are down for awhile.

After Hurricane Andrew most of Baton Rouge was down for a week or more. Some people were losing it after a few days. I thought it was a big adventure and fun with it.
