Where would we be now if the energy policies introduced by President Carter had not been scraped by the monsters of the rightwing? The right will destroy us all if we do not stop them.

1. Just about the 1st symbolic act they did.....and turned up the Oil heat

in the WH, too.

'Cuz, it was "Morning in America" (tm), don't you know. No more energy crisis, no more need to conserve energy or get oil energy independent.

People really should think about where we are today in terms of the decisions that Reagan/Bush took back in 1980. Intertwined with their backroom oil deals with the Saudi Princes, they were also getting very friendly with a new secular leader in the ME, one Saddam Hussein. Even then Saddam was recognized as a brutal dictator, but he was willing to do Raegan/Bush proxy dirty work against Iran, so he was A-OK with the Republicans.

So we had our Morning in America....sadly, another Bush is ushering in Evening in America. And we've lost 25 valuable years, maybe the future of this country because a few very powerful people put their personal interests ahead of the countrys.
