Seems to me now that the Reagan internment is done, the floodgates have opened again and any temporary "bounce" for Bush (see: Rasmussen) due to the news blackout will be quickly nullified.

This information effect might happen if there's enough damaging revelations to hit hard and shift the news media, forcing them to examine this issues.
Reagan has been a week of soft news, so they might rebound with a vengance on Bush, since their is no other deflection news out there at this moment.

We will see how strong the media system is though, becuase it may well rebound back to normal mode and deflect with OJ Simpson retrospectives.
