A Rant about Poppy and the Bush Royal Clan
Edited on Sun Jun-13-04 03:31 PM by burythehatchet
He celebrated his 80th birthday with a parachute jump. Good for the ole fella. I don't begrudge him the vitality that he so likes to represent to the public. His fitness, his "heroism" in the war, are traits that he promotes. Wonderful.

What the hell has he accomplished as an ex-president? I dare you to name a significant contribution of time - not money - time, that any of these grey geezer blue bloods make to society. If it isn't war profiteering its criminal banking. If it isn't an S&L scandal, its Thai whores.

This family takes so damn much from us through its war profiteering and its dirty oil money. I cannot think of a family that, in aggregate, had such a low spiritual and human existance.

he's worked tirelessly on behalf of the Carlyle group and lobbied his younger son for the voter purge which insured the installation of his eldest son as our "dear leader."

That's gotta trump establishing Habitat for Humanity, getting a Nobel prize, or helping Africans with AIDS, or having one's spouse start one of the most well renowned rehab clinics. . . right. . .?

sarcasm /off

4. Yes, you look at a gentleman like Carter who has gone around the world
to help with elections and has helped Habitat for Humanity. He does all of this behind the scenes without wanting media attention.

That, my friends, is a true and honest man.

Bush sr. hasn't done squat. He and his family f*ck us and smile, telling us how great we have it.

6. you are right they have given back nothing to humanity
they have taken a lot away to build their dynasty...and it seems their legacy is drug, alcohol, and gambling abuse for all family members...

Now aren't you grateful you are not part of that family.

12. Stunning subconscious revelation
Like when Hoover tried to accuse MLK of being gay. people always do a double take when someone brazenly does something that seems incredibly ironic, yet that person is devoid of every conscious consideration of how much it reveals.

War hero Daddy Bush bailed out of his bomber on a controversial mission during WWII. Besides that bit of retrospective was the fact that he left behind a live crewmate on board when he went. A lot of murky fudging of the details and the gung ho mistake that got the plane shot down in the first place.

So is this some nagging guilt, some left over obsession of memory? I doubt sincerely there is a conscious bone in his body that he did anything wrong back then, but look at how he celebrates his birthday as the family itself is threatened with long, long overdue accounting.

Daring the American people to remember or question something, he doesn't have to either. Hubristic actions without consequences.

I am sure that family does not believe in God, at least the real one.

As for finding out what happened when he bailed out, possibly prematurely, possibly knowing a man was still on board, it isn't easy and only the anti-Bush aficionados can even theorize through the fog of war.
