Just curious. I think they're all retail crap, nothing that can properly sustain one person, let alone a family of three...

1. I've been asking this question for months...
Because I suspect the jobs being created are mostly in the public sector which is not impressive given the enormous amount of spending in the govt (which is also the reason why the GDP has "increased")

Meantime over 3 million private sector jobs lost and counting.

7. Employment ads in my local newspaper ...
have not changed much in 2 years. It is always the same old b-s. Someone looking for babysitters, nannys, in-home care-givers. There are a lot of jobs at the fast food places and at the stores in the malls. Then there are a bunch of rediculous job ads for pyramid schemes. It is sickening!

9. Every Job Is Not The Same
Last month, supposedly 266,000 new jobs were created. Yet, 40,000 less people were working. More and more people are without health care. So what does this tell us. The good, full time jobs, with benefits are being replaced by low paying part-time jobs. That's why these phony numbers are not giving Bush any bump in the polls.

Let me give you a hypothetical example. If I lose a full-time job making 50K per year plus benefits, and six months later, in order to pay my bills, I'm forced to work two part-time jobs, making a total of 40K, I know I have just received a 20% pay cut and my family has no insurance. No matter how hard those assholes in Washington try to convince me I'm twice as better off, because I now have two jobs instead of just one,I'm not buying it. Unfortunately, this scenario is all too often, true.
