Not that we think this blackout was gamed, but I hope Easterners
understand that if they suffered in the blackout
and found out that some energy companies were gaming the system,

6. Oh THERE was coverage, all right....

Don't you remember all the JOKES and DERISION piled on us because of all our ..AirConditioning, and Latte Bars, and Sprouts restaurants..

They made it sound like the ENVIRO-NUTS stopped the building of MORE power plants...

They made jokes about it and even * kept saying it was a CALIFORNIA PROBLEM, and THEY would have to solve it themselves.. In other words, "Screw YOU, California"..

They don't say SCREW YOU when they received California's share of REVENUE, or PRODUCE, or MUNITIONS for their little invasions...

The "problem" we experienced was MANUFACTURED in the Cheney energy meetings.. It was supposed to bring us to our knees, but GUESS WHAT?? It did not work, because we CONSERVED even MORE than usual, and we "sucked it up" and PAID those rip-off charges for power..

When they saw that their plan did not work, they set about finding another way..

That is what the recall is all about..:(

But I pray that we will stick it to them yet again..

These guys are worse than a video game villain.. Killing them once is never enought..:(

8. Thanks for the memories

Yeah, it seemed to be treated as a joke that old people
were suffering, small businesses were going out of business,
school kids suffered heat exhaustion, food was spoiled
everywhere, people were trapped in elevators etc.

Maybe we'll finally get some understanding from those
who suffered yesterday.

I was thinking about the one in, was in 1996? If I recall correctly, it was most of California, Oregon, Washington, Utah and part of Canada. Another "transformer problem." It was in mid-summer (living in Fresno, I remember that part) and some areas were out for almost a week. I do remember that we didn't get much coverage from national news -- lots from local/state news and we faced the same problems. I have to agree that there's definitely an East Coast (Manhattan) bias with national news -- Ahnold and Scott Peterson notwithstanding. B-)
