"I thought he did a great job arming and funding enemies of this country, such as Saddam Hussein, and Osama Bin Laden. His complete denial of the AIDS crisis until a rich white right wing closet case Republican died from it was also one of his most endearing moments. Ronnie will be greatly rewarded in the afterlife for his accomplishments. Hope he packed an air conditioner!

To respond to one of your complainers: Perhaps "other" is leading because some Americans who can actually remember back that far, because we lived through the Reagan era (like me) can recall that it was NOT all roses (or "rosey scenarios," as his budget director, David Stockman, got away with selling for awhile. Perhaps it''s because your list only wants to focus on one side of his administration. You conveniently left off the other realities. And yes, they were REALITIES. NOBODY made up the "ketchup is a vegetable," or "trees pollute," or "you''ve seen one redwood, you''ve seen ''em all." Perhaps some of us feel it''s better to remember a man by telling the whole story about him rather than lying or dressing up a half-truth. Reagan was not all bad. But neither was he all good. Your poll desperately needed some genuinely "fair and balanced" entries. Many heroes also have feet of clay. Including Reagan. We are better served by considering the entire picture - not just the parts we like. I''m guessing you''ll be EQUALLY as willing to see the Bill Clinton legacy through similar glossed-over, rose-colored lenses?
