STILL FUNDRAISING! Glad power outage didn't stop Bush!
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 08:42 PM by tjdee
So the lights come back on in my house, I flip around to see what the news is saying about us, what's going on....

And I see Bush in CALIFORNIA, fundraising, not a WORD about the major power outage, talking some crap about winning in 2004. Granted this was on FOX, who cut away to Bloomberg for a minute, before going back to Bush's urgent words on money money money money money.

Glad to see the millions of people without power, the people who have been stuck in subways and elevators, are so heavy on his mind that he mentioned them....not once.

What an ASSHOLE! I am more determined than ever to see this guy permanently "ranching".

3. Not a word about our ENERGY POLICY...

Hey, remember that?

The policy that Dick Cheney made after meeting with....??????????

I'm pretty ripe about this, LOL....been without power for hours. It could have been worse, a lot worse. But to see this guy with his hand stretched out for cash when he sucks, really just sucks at the job....

Ugh.

Anyway, welcome to DU!!

4. Yep, fundraising.
And that ridiculous NBC ran Bush's taped response saying it was from his base in CA.

Base??? It was some frigging high priced hotel where he was halling in millions, not some bunker in the desert. He seemed annoyed at having to make a statement at all, considering how lame it was.

6. Why did he make a statement anyway?
Who cares what he has to say about a blackout. Not like the people in those states can see the idiot anyway.

9. I just saw it...
My neighbor's 11 year old son could have come up with a better response than that CRAP!

Power is still out in a lot of places, they just showed a crowd of people trying to catch the ferry out to New Jersey (some people haven't even gotten home yet from this afternoon)...

They just showed a guy who walked three hours trying to get home to NJ. Hey, I bet that guy is glad Bush can raise another 20 mil!

5. And in CA, you know, Gray Davis is in trouble for fundraising...
"Relentless fundraiser," "only raises money," a "fund-raising machine," etc.

The Law of the Freeper: Whatever it is, it's *bad* if a Democrat does it!

7. And Davis is in trouble
for a deficit.

I'm sure the folks who are all up in arms about that are equally critical of Bush and his deficit.

Rule 1 of politics: It's only bad if the other side is doing it.
