WASHINGTON, DC - Former Democratic presidential hopeful Howard Dean will be among the luminaries participating in the NAB Education Foundation's sixth annual Service to America Summit June 14 in Washington, DC. Dean, whose innovative use of the Internet changed the way political campaigns appeal to voters, will be among a star-studded panel that will analyze campaign activities in a session called "Debating the Debate."
Dean will be joined by former Clinton White House press secretary Dee Dee Myers, Hearst-Argyle Television Vice President/News Candy Altman, and WTOP-AM Washington Vice President/News and Programming Jim Farley in a candid discussion on broadcasters' efforts during the election year. They'll also offer insight on proactive steps that can be taken by local stations to keep the electorate informed.
