FR's take on the positive review of F/911 from Fox News
Edited on Tue Jun-15-04 03:37 PM by Lucky Luciano
I was really surprised by the positive review and I saw on FR what they thought of it all. If you are interested, then:

they didn't agree with and they were livid with him. They were ready to dump him. What a bunch of morans! LOL!

19. Go out and talk to these people
there's a lot we agree on. Seems shocking, I know, but you'd be surprised how focused on the basics one can get after almost losing your home. Lots and lots of day traders and formerly successful IT people were die-hard repubs or Perot voters, and are now firmly on the fence.

I talked to a woman last week who voted for Bush and said she wouldn't do it again. I'm about *thisclose* to getting her to vote Kerry. :D

"If even Fox is now lapping up Moore's swill, what hope is there? And coming soon, the Bubba bookfest, which will exceed all previous levels of media madness. We might even be pining for some more Abu Ghraib bombshells just to relieve the pain of 24/7 Clinton saturation. I tell you, there is no hope."--10 posted on 06/15/2004 2:08:55 AM PDT by omniscient

8. Look at this quote:
"Perhaps FNC is following the pattern that has been long established by the powerful - the longer one is in power and the more power one wields, the more leftward one turns."

I guess that explains the Bushies, the RW Congressmen, the CEO's.....

... they wouldn't let Clinton go. It was Clinton EVERYTHING.

Now they see their man simply cannot measure up to Clinton. All the "Clinton scandals" have been revealed to be trumped up lies. And they don't want to THEIR MAN DUBAYA to be compared to Clinton. He doesn't measure up!!!!!

Hannity's mental ability if converted to electricity couldn't toast bread. He's a complete parrot. Its a good thing he's good looking, because that's what carries him, not intelligence or independent thought.

I've got to give this wingnut props, that's pretty funny. I don't find him particularly good looking, however.

He is about 5 pounds away from pudgy.

I find him highly unattractive - mostly because he can't say anything without holding his hands out in a weak karate chop.

18. Wonder where he was when all those IRA attacks were going on. . .
Of course there are a few cases of Israeli terrorism as well beginning about 5 or 6 decades ago, a hotel bombing or two, along with a school bombing attempt if I'm not mistaken.

Yup, only Arabs are terrorists, especially those Arabs from Northern Ireland.

34. How about Lesbians?
I remember when AIDS first came on the scene in the 80s, lesbians had the lowest incidence of AIDS among gays & straights, males & females. So, my comeback to religious types that said that AIDS was god's punishment for gay sex was that it must mean that lesbians were god's chosen, as they had the lowest incidence of AIDs.

(PS, I'm a straight male)

Once our tv broke when I was a kid, mom never got a new one. Now that I think about it, we had a lot of fun without the tv. We actually talked to each other and had fun doing other things."

25. Wow ....

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,122678,00.html

One would think that they are trying to marginalize the "controversy" to minimize exposure. The author apparantly panned "Bowling for Columbine". I cannot find a link.

But that was the right wing script for "Bowling For Columbine". I actually read a lot of reviews before I saw the film. And I thought the reviews were trumped up nonsense from a film that never really targeted the gun industry or blamed ANYTHING for the Columbine Massacre.

Rather, "Bowling For Columbine" was an indictment on the culture of fear in America. It was visibly contrasted vs that of Canada where people leave their front doors unlocked and pot is "no big deal".

So I think I think the wing-nuts have finally wised up and realized that protesting a movie only PROMOTES it!!!!!! Controversy gets people to buy tickets. So they are going to make it out to be a "serious, intellectual" film. In other words, they're trying to imply that it's BORING!!!!! And people don't go to theatres to be bored!!!!!

35. Drive to Ban 911F
Hope we get to see it. Here in Texas it may not get much showing, especially with this group trying to ban it.

"A conservative organization called Move America Forward, formed in May to rally support for U.S. troops and the war on terror, has asked the public to call and e-mail executives at theater chains scheduled to show the film, according to Variety.com.

"Michael Moore has the right to free speech," said MAF Chairman Howard Kaloogian, according to Variety. "But so do millions of Americans who find his anti-military propaganda and attacks on our troops offensive."
