That would finally send my liberal mother away from the catholic church and finally on the lookout for a religion that suits her beliefs as a compassionate, loving christian, rather than simply faith by inertia and continuing to attend and give money to a church that consistently acts against her beliefs for the sole reason that it was the faith she was raised in and it's easier to just go with the flow. She has said if they go through with this denial of communion thing that she will finally leave.

These wingnuts who rail against Kerry's position on abortion are usually 100% pro death penalty. I know the Catholic Church isn't, but their attempt to pander to * and attack Kerry, while ignoring all the pro death penalty creeps just makes me sick. Its politics in one of its most revolting forms, using people's deeply held faith to grab power.
