new favorite bumper sticker
I work in a verrry conservative workplace... not so much "conservative" as "redneck", actually. So imagine my surprise today as I pull up to the gate to see the car in front of me has a bumper sticker that says "Vote Republican... It's easier than thinking"

Hehe, that's a guy who puts personal conviction above vehicular safety! I love it. Anybody else out there putting themselves at risk over a display of an unpopular opinion?

1. Here in conservative NC I saw a bumpersticker
that said:

"Focus on Your OWN Damn Family"

Hee hee. (Spoofing that meddling hateful conservative "Focus on the Family" organization.)

2. I've seen that particular
bumper sticker before around here (I'm in Cleveland), I LOVE it! It expressed the truth perfectly in just six short words.

6. And I thought Colorado Springs had a monopoly on that one.
We see those with some regularity.

work truck!
Speak truth to power, even if your voice quakes.
Stop being intimidated by the Nazi's! If they stop you from speaking out, they win. This is unacceptable! FUCK THEM!

4. At risk here in East TN!
I live near Knoxville, TN (heavily Repub to say the least)and recently decided to throw caution to the wind. Put the following stickers on my car:

To my surprise I have not seen anyone giving me the finger, trying to run me off the road, cursing at me, etc. Hopefully that is a sign that the tide has indeed turned.

I have also only seen TWO Shrubya stickers in the past couple of months.

5. I have that one!!
Ashamed to say, it's in the drawer of my desk. I also live in a highly conservative (or Redneck) area where a bumper sticker like that can get you run off the road or get your car keyed. I never had the nerve to put it on my car. I do have a Kerry sticker on my car right now and am not really worried about that one.

One of my favorites was one I had last winter. It said "United We Dump Bush"

The good news is that even here in Redneck-land, I'm starting to see less and less pro-war, pro-Republican stickers and more and more anti-Bush ones. Just the other day a truck was tailing me and I figured it was another bullying redneck trying to intimidate me. The truck pulled on past and the driver waved at me....On the back were two home-made looking stickers, one said "BUSH IS A LIAR!!" The other said "Impeach Bush!!"

The tables are turning.

7. My bumpersticker simply says "Dump Bush"
But I live in California, and the biggest danger I've faced is people beeping their horn and giving me a thumbs up.
