How long after the sovereignty of Iraq will they ask America to leave? Bush
is now saying over and over and over that Iraq has the right to ask us to leave - which interrupted means he will get out of Iraq before the elections and can blame it on Iraq.

Say what you want, the Republicans are smart in their sneakiness. I predict the Iraqis will ask us to leave before the end of July. Bush will save face and the war will no longer be a subject for discussion before the election.

I will bet life (almost) that this will be the case. Any body agree - disagree?

1. Possible
Not likely, but possible. Those warm bodies will be needed for Gulf War III: Country To Be Announced.

6. Iran is looking like it wants to be next
Beirut, Lebanon, Jun. 15 (UPI) -- Iran reportedly is readying troops to move into Iraq if U.S. troops pull out, leaving a security vacuum.

The Saudi daily Al-Sharq al-Awsat, monitored in Beirut, reports Iran has massed four battalions at the border.

Al-Sharq al-Awsat quoted "reliable Iraqi sources" as saying, "Iran moved part of its regular military forces towards the Iraqi border in the southern sector at a time its military intelligence agents were operating inside Iraqi territory."

2. Ummm, probably about four minutes after...
... they kill all the interim government picked by the United States. Don't know when that will happen, but they seem to be busy at it right now.

Don't wish the death of anyone, but these people volunteered to be stooges for the US--they're going to have to accept the consequences of doing so.

And, even if the Iraqi government tells us to leave, we aren't leaving.

That much is for sure. That's one of the principal reasons we invaded the damned country in the first place--to secure big bases in the Middle East.

The war will go on until we have a president with enough brains and common sense to remove our troops.

8. I fear the following scenario:
Sometime in July, Bush orders the Iraqi gov't to ask that U.S. troops leave. Bush then announces that we will comply with the Iraqi request, and that it will take several months to comply. Bush then skyrockets in the polls with token withdrawals, and wins the election. Then in late November he orders the Iraqi gov't to change its mind and ask us to stay. And of course we do.
