"We're going to talk about the evolution of al-Qaida and how they moved from one type of organization in the late 1980s to a more fast-acting, poisonous organization in the 1990s, more spread out and dispersed," said Timothy Roemer, a Democratic commissioner and former representative from Indiana.

"We'll be looking at the timeline as to whether or not we had an opportunity to deflect any of the airliners, and how decisions were made by the highest people in government," he said.

Scheduled to testify Wednesday are field agents from the FBI and CIA, as well as Patrick Fitzgerald, a former attorney in New York who prosecuted alleged terrorists in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and the 1998 bombings of two U.S. embassies in Africa.

Missing from Wednesday's schedule is German prosecutor Matthias Krauss, who canceled at the last minute. Krauss, who investigated the al-Qaida cell in Hamburg, Germany, had been expected to highlight problems with U.S. intelligence-sharing.

On Thursday, the 10-member panel will hear from Air Force Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as well as officials from the FAA and the North American Aerospace Defense Command. They will discuss whether a military response could have limited the Sept. 11 destruction by shooting down the airliners.

Dear editor/reporter,

The final 9/11 commission hearings are upon us and the
important questions as put forth by the 9/11 families
have not been asked. Many of these questions pertain to
the evidence for Bush Administration complicity in the
attacks themselves, and the refusal of the 9/11
commission to address them is indicative of a coverup.

Ostensibly these hearings are supposed to focus on "the
9/11 plot" and the unprecedented failures of our air
defense system to respond to the hijacked aircraft. If
the commission took their mandate seriously, they would
inquire about the wargames that the US Military was
conducting on 9/11.

Wargames? What Wargames?

On the morning of Sept. 11 itself, the U.S. military
was conducting scheduled wargames and anti-terror
drills that included "airliner hijackings" as well an
"errant aircraft" crashing into a government building.
As referenced in the articles linked below, these
wargames have all been reported in the mainstream
media. Certainly they are relevant to the 9/11 plot. If
the commission is not a whitewash and truly wants to
get to the truth of 9/11, they will ask the hard
questions.

the really important questions about what really went wrong on the morning of 9-11.

Why the President/Commander in Chief did not react when he knew America was under attack?

Why the Sec of Defense, did not react when he knew America was under attack?

Why the acting head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, did not react when he knew America was under attack?

What exactly did the Vice President and the National Security Adviser do when they finally reacted after the 2nd WTC tower was hit?

Who was in the WH bunker and why?

Unfortunately, the 9-11 Whitewash Commission refuses to ask these questions. Without the answers to these questions, we will never know what really happened that morning. By not asking these questions, the 9-11 Whitewash Commission is nothing more than a tool for the WH, and they have betrayed the American people.
