My VP is better then your VP truce?

Sometime in the next month Kerry is going to name his VP. Since he can only name one person, I think a lot of DUers are going to be disappointed. So, for what it is worth, I would like to call for a 48 hour truce once he announces his VP pick.

What I mean by this is once the name is out, let's not circle the wagons and fire inward.

The VP announcement needs to go over well because it is one of the biggest events in this campaign and the initial reaction is going to frame the story.

If we can get a week of good press out of it, it will only help bring Bush & Co.'s reign of terror to an end. However, if we are posting items about how the campaign is going to fail now that "my guy or gal" is not on the ticket, it will effect morale and maybe even news coverage (Rush and others troll this site).

So what do you all think? We can still "discuss" why we want who we want between now and then, but once the pick is made, let's give it a couple days before we flame away at the choice.

This said, if Kerry does something insane like pick Ashcroft or Zell Miller, I would think we could suspend this idea.
